Habagat to bring rains to parts of Luzon and Visayas

The southwest monsoon, or 'habagat,' is expected to bring rains to parts of Luzon and the Visayas, although PAGASA notes the rains may be less intense than the previous day.

Occasional rains may affect Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan in the next 24 hours.

Scattered rains and thunderstorms are forecast for Metro Manila and several other regions in Luzon and the Visayas.

Those in affected areas are warned of potential flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.

Isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are also possible in Bicol Region and the rest of Central Luzon and Visayas.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA is monitoring cloud clusters outside the country's area of responsibility that could develop into a low pressure area.

La Mesa Dam's water level is below its spilling level and is not expected to pose a flood threat to areas along the Tullahan River.
