Duterte's partner advises him to avoid crowds amid COVID-19 rise

President Duterte's common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña, advised him to avoid large gatherings due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.

Avanceña, a nurse, emphasized the importance of prevention, stating that while it's easy to give the President vitamins, avoiding crowds is crucial.

In response to the COVID-19 threat, the Presidential Security Group (PSG) has implemented a "no-touch" policy for President Duterte, requiring thorough screening and testing for those who will come near him.

This policy extends to PSG personnel, politicians, and dignitaries, with all health protocols continuously in effect within the Malacañang Complex.

The PSG, in coordination with the Office of the President-Events Management Cluster, is adhering to the Department of Health's guidelines.

Furthermore, large events where President Duterte is the guest of honor may be canceled to ensure the safety of both the President and the attendees.
