PSG forms task force for stricter security protocols for Duterte's health

The Presidential Security Group (PSG) has established a task force to implement stricter security protocols aimed at safeguarding President Duterte's health during the coronavirus outbreak.

These measures include allowing only individuals who have tested negative for COVID-19 to be in close proximity to the President during private events, with others maintaining a minimum of a 2-meter distance.

A strict no-touch policy will be enforced, and for larger gatherings, the President will be kept at least 10 meters away from the audience.

The PSG task force will coordinate with the Department of Health and other agencies, organize medical teams, and set up quarantine sites within the Malacañang Complex.

Regular disinfection of the PSG compound and Malacañang Complex, along with information drives for personnel and their families, are also part of the new protocols.

Stringent security measures for monitoring PSG personnel and visitors entering the Malacañang Complex are being implemented.

Currently, PSG guards are required to wear surgical masks, and temperature checks are conducted on individuals entering the Palace.
