Duterte optimistic on PH health landscape as vaccine doses arrive

President Rodrigo Duterte expressed optimism on Monday that the Philippines' health landscape is improving due to the continuous arrival of more COVID-19 vaccine doses.

In his State of the Nation Address, Duterte stated that the country has already received over 31.3 million vaccine doses and expects to receive at least 36 million more in August.

He also mentioned that over 7 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated.

The President reiterated his call for the public to get vaccinated, emphasizing it as the most effective solution to end the pandemic.

He also urged those who have received their first dose to complete their second dose to ensure full protection.

Duterte urged local government units to hasten their vaccine rollout, citing San Juan City's success in vaccinating 70 percent of its population in a month.
