DSWD delivers food, non-food items to LGUs amid quarantine

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is delivering food and non-food essentials to local government units (LGUs) that have requested augmentation support amid the ongoing community quarantine.

DSWD has intensified its coordination with LGUs to identify beneficiaries and distribution points while ensuring social distancing measures are followed.

DSWD National Capital Region (NCR) has already delivered family food packs (FFPs) to Quezon City, Valenzuela, and Malabon.

Other DSWD field offices in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Davao Region (11), and other areas have also provided or prepositioned relief supplies to LGUs.

Ongoing repacking of relief goods is happening at the National Resource Operations Center (NROC) in Pasay City and various DSWD-Field Offices nationwide.

The DSWD will provide additional food packs and non-food aid to LGUs to assist families affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

Each DSWD food pack is designed to feed a family of five for two days and includes items like rice, canned goods, and coffee.

Beneficiaries of the Conditional Cash Transfer program can still receive their payouts by coordinating with their parent leaders to ensure social distancing.
