Contractors behind ghost projects to be banned for life – Dizon
Contractors proven to be involved in ghost projects and substandard infrastructure works will face a lifetime ban from participating in government projects, according to new Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon.
This ban will be implemented immediately and automatically, without the need for lengthy investigations or procedures, as cleared with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
Dizon stated that corresponding charges will also be filed against these contractors.
The President is also set to form an independent body to investigate these illegal projects, particularly those involving flood control undertakings.
