Dizon seeks DE Alcantara’s dismissal over Bulacan ‘ghost projects’
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon has called for the dismissal of Assistant Regional Director Henry Alcantara over alleged ghost flood control projects in Bulacan.
Dizon ordered the DPWH legal team to file a case against Alcantara before the Ombudsman for his involvement in anomalous projects, including a P55 million project in Baliwag town which was declared completed despite being a ghost project.
The DPWH will also recommend the perpetual blacklisting of Wawao Builders and their affiliates from future DPWH projects.
Assistant District Engineer Bryce Ericson Hernandez and Jaypee Mendoza, chief of the construction section, will also face dismissal proceedings.
An immigration lookout bulletin order has been issued against Hernandez and Mendoza.
The investigation into further involvement and appropriate charges against all parties concerned is ongoing.
