DoTr prioritizes station upgrades
The privatization of the EDSA Busway has been postponed by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) as the agency prioritizes the upgrade of existing bus stations.
Transportation Secretary Vivencio Dizon announced that the DOTr will first bid out contracts to modernize the 21 remaining stations, using the SM North EDSA and SM Megamall stations as models.

Longer-term improvements, such as dedicated concourses near MRT stations like Santolan, are also planned and are expected to be completed between 2026 and 2027.
Secretary Dizon suggested that the operations and maintenance (O&M) of these future upgraded facilities should be pursued through public-private partnerships (PPPs).
