Ex-Bulacan DPWH officials Alcantara, Hernandez face complaint over fake licenses
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) have filed criminal complaints against former DPWH-Bulacan engineers Henry Alcantara and Brice Hernandez for allegedly using fake driver's licenses.
The charges filed before the Parañaque City prosecutor's office are for alleged violation of Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code or the use of falsified documents.
Alcantara and Hernandez were previously linked to ghost projects in Bulacan.
The original driver's licenses of the two former DPWH officials have been permanently revoked.
The DOTr and LTO will not allow anyone to disrespect the licenses issued by the agencies and will ensure they are held accountable under the law.
If found guilty, the two face up to one year in prison and a fine of up to P1 million.
