DBM clarifies independent body funding

Based on its findings, the ICI shall recommend civil and administrative cases against those responsible to the appropriate bodies.
The newly established ICI will be funded through the Office of the Executive Secretary, with the DBM clarifying that DPWH flood control project allocations will not be diverted.
The investigation has revealed that some DPWH officials are involved in corruption, also implicating certain lawmakers, including Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez.
