DOTr eyes mobile vax sites at train stations, ports

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is considering establishing mobile vaccination sites at various train stations and ports nationwide.

In Metro Cebu, authorities are also eyeing to set up vaccination sites in transport terminals.

The idea for Metro Cebu was discussed in a meeting organized by the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, Inter-Agency Task Force Visayas, DOH-Central Visayas, and Project Balik Buhay.

The DOTr is coordinating with the National Vaccination Operations Center to identify suitable locations for these vaccination efforts.

Two possible sites in Metro Cebu are the South Bus Terminal and the North Bus Terminal.

The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) is currently being used as a vaccination site by the DOTr and the MMDA.

Additionally, unvaccinated and partially vaccinated workers in Metro Manila will be given 30 days to continue using public transportation.
