DOLE releases P5.5M to NCR workers affected by COVID-19

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has released P5.5 million in financial aid to an estimated 1,074 workers in the National Capital Region (NCR) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

These workers, employed in the formal sector, are beneficiaries of the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) and have each received P5,000.

DOLE-NCR has received 46,213 CAMP applications from 973 private establishments in Metro Manila that have implemented flexible working arrangements or temporary closure.

DOLE-NCR Regional Director Sarah Buena S. Mirasol requested patience from employers due to the high volume of online applications.

She also emphasized the importance of online transactions and communication via email or hotline due to a skeletal workforce operating under the enhanced community quarantine protocol.
