Health secretary inspects idle P11.4M super health center in Antipolo

Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa inspected a P11.4 million super health center in Antipolo City that had remained idle for over a year.

The facility, completed in July 2024 with P7 million worth of equipment, only began serving patients on the same day as Herbosa's inspection.

Herbosa expressed satisfaction that the center is finally being utilized, despite the significant delay in its full operation.

The local government unit denied allegations of a rushed launch in anticipation of the Health Secretary's visit.

Upon inspection, Herbosa noted that the facility is only partially operational, as the laboratory and x-ray room require licensing before they can function.

Dr. Concepcion Lat of the City Health Office explained the delay was due to waiting for ordered materials and manpower.
