DOH reports 41 new Covid-19 recoveries, 24 deaths

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 41 new recoveries on Monday, bringing the total number of recoveries nationwide to 418,723.

The country's total Covid-19 cases reached 449,400, with 23,253 active cases.

Quezon City logged the highest number of new infections with 147, followed by Davao City with 124, Rizal province with 65, Laguna province with 50, and Manila City with 49.

Of the active cases, 856 or 4.1 percent of those tested on Dec. 13 turned out positive.

Twenty-four new Covid-19 deaths were recorded, increasing the national death toll to 8,757.

Six duplicates were removed from the total case count, and two cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths.

As of Monday, about 61 percent of intensive care unit beds, 64 percent of isolation beds, and 74 percent of ward beds dedicated to Covid-19 patients were available.
