DOH reports 1,894 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,894 new Covid-19 infections on Friday, increasing the total active cases to 34,255.

The country's Covid-19 recoveries have risen to 488,274 with 397 new cases.

There were 61 new fatalities reported, bringing the total death toll to 11,058.

Of the active cases, 89 percent have mild symptoms, 6 percent are asymptomatic, 2.3 percent are critical, 2.2 percent are severe, and 0.51 percent are moderate.

On Thursday, 1,415 out of 27,942 tested individuals turned out positive for Covid-19.

Available healthcare facilities for Covid-19 patients include 60% of ICU beds, 65% of isolation beds, 77% of ward beds, and 79% of ventilators.
