DOH logs 13,812 new COVID-19 recoveries

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 13,812 new Covid-19 recoveries on Friday, bringing the total number of survivors to 860,412, which is 87.8 percent of the cumulative cases.

The country recorded 8,719 new infections, lowering the total active cases to 102,799 or 10.5 percent of all cases.

Of the active cases, 96.4 percent have mild symptoms, while 1.3 percent are asymptomatic.

The DOH confirmed 159 new deaths, raising the national death toll to 16,529 or 1.69 percent of all infections.

Nationwide, 66 percent of ICU beds, 48 percent of isolation beds, and 54 percent of ward beds are occupied by Covid-19 patients.
