Discharged PUIs for Covid-19 now 420
The Department of Health (DOH) reported that 420 persons under investigation (PUIs) for COVID-19 in the Philippines have been discharged from hospitals as of Thursday, February 20, 2020.
The total number of PUIs has reached 556, including the three confirmed cases, which consist of two recoveries and one fatality.
The DOH stated that PUIs are discharged after testing negative for the virus in two consecutive medical examinations.
There are still 133 admitted PUIs in health facilities nationwide, with most of them located in Metro Manila.
No suspected cases are currently under observation in Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The World Health Organization (WHO) reported 74,280 confirmed cases and 2,006 deaths in China, with 924 cases and three deaths outside China.
