DOH confirms 597 PUIs for COVID-19

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 41 new suspected cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines, bringing the total number of persons under investigation (PUIs) to 597.

Of the total PUIs, 139 are currently admitted in hospitals across the country, with most of them in Metro Manila.

The DOH also noted that 455 PUIs have already been discharged.

The three previously confirmed COVID-19 cases, all Chinese nationals, have been discharged from hospital care; two recovered and one died.

Despite the ongoing developments, the DOH assured that there is still no reported local transmission of COVID-19 in the country and that preparations are in place to manage the threat.
