208 Pinoy seafarers repatriated from UAE – DFA
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) welcomed 208 seafarers from the United Arab Emirates who arrived on Saturday evening.
These repatriates arrived from the cruise ship MS Norwegian Jade.
The DFA has now repatriated a total of 11,613 Filipinos, comprising 8,419 seafarers and 2,975 land-based workers.
Previously, on Black Saturday, 246 seafarers from the United Kingdom arrived.
The DFA also reported a total of 651 Filipinos abroad who have tested positive for COVID-19.
