DFA repatriates 382 Filipinos from UAE

Another 382 Filipinos, including 7 pregnant women, were repatriated from the UAE on Friday, August 6, 2021.

DFA Undersecretary for Migrant Workers' Affairs Sarah Lou Y. Arriola stated that the DFA and partner agencies continue to work closely to ensure the safe repatriation of distressed Filipinos.

Each repatriated worker received P10,000 in reintegration assistance.

The DFA expects to bring home most stranded Filipinos in the UAE by the end of August.

Since the start of the pandemic, around 500,000 OFWs have been repatriated, according to data from the DFA and the Department of Labor and Employment.
