Akari, Creamline battle for PVL Reinforced Conference title

Akari and Creamline are set to clash in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference Finals at the Philsports Arena on Wednesday night.

Creamline aims for a "three-peat" championship and their ninth overall crown, extending their dynastic reign and 15th consecutive podium finish.

Akari, in their first-ever finals appearance after joining the league two years ago, seeks to win their first championship.

Creamline reached the finals after defeating Cignal HD Spikers in the semifinals, while Akari edged out PLDT.

The highly anticipated Finals match will feature a battle between Creamline's American import Erica Staunton, who scored 38 points in the semis, and Akari's American import Oly Okaro, who had 39 hits.

The championship match was moved from the Smart Araneta Coliseum to the Philsports Arena in Pasig due to a power outage and a storm.

Akari enters the finals on a staggering 10-game winning streak.
