Comelec launches nationwide Register Anywhere Program

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has launched its Register Anywhere Program (RAP) nationwide, with voter registration booths set up in accessible locations such as malls, schools, and train stations.

The initiative, which began on August 1, aims to boost voter turnout for the upcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE).

Initial registration sites included UE Manila, SMX Manila at Mall of Asia, Luneta, Robinson's Bridgetowne, LRT Recto, and Robinson's Mall Malate.

Specific operating hours and clientele were noted for some locations, such as the UE Community at UE Manila and the public at LRT Recto.

The Comelec Main Office at Palacio del Gobernador also served as a registration site.

The program is scheduled to run for 10 days.
