Comelec to resume voter registration Aug 1-10

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) confirmed that voter registration will resume nationwide from August 1 to 10.

Comelec Chairperson George Garcia assured that registration activities will not be delayed and will be held during weekends.

Registration sites will be expanded to include selected public and private establishments to accommodate more Filipinos.

The poll body will also accept applications for changes, corrections, reactivation, and transfers of registration records.

Online applications will be available for reactivation and related updates.

Comelec is also considering implementing a 'Register Anytime Program' for night-time registration.
