The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has completed the printing of 68,542,564 ballots for Eleksyon 2025.
The poll body finished the printing process within the promised period, less than two months after it officially started on January 27.
Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia stated that increased printers and printing staff contributed to meeting the deadline.
However, the printed ballots are only for voters in Luzon and Visayas, as the Bangsamoro elections were postponed.
The Comelec is expected to finish its verification process for printed ballots by April 20, 2025.
Around two million ballots were previously found to be defective and are currently being reprinted.
The Comelec has also printed over half of the 68 million voter information sheets (VIS) required for the elections.
Miru Systems, the automated election system provider, stated that strict quality control measures were followed during ballot production.
