Comelec proclaims BH party-list as winner

The Commission on Elections (Comelec), sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, has proclaimed the Bagong Henerasyon (BH) party-list as a winning party-list organization.

BH party-list garnered 319,803 votes, entitling it to one seat in the House of Representatives.

The disqualification case against the party-list and its nominees has been dismissed by the Comelec en banc, with a certificate of finality and entry of judgment issued.

The Comelec en banc denied a motion for reconsideration filed by lawyer Russel Stanley Geronimo, who sought the group's disqualification.

First Nominee Roberto Gerard Nazal Jr. will represent BH party-list in the 20th Congress until June 30, 2028.

Comelec Chairperson George Garcia confirmed that the certificate of proclamation was presented to BH party-list president Rochelle Custodio and secretary general Bernadette Banto, noting there was no formal ceremony.

The dismissal of the disqualification petition was declared immediately executory as the petitioner failed to personally serve a copy on BH party-list.
