TS Enteng suspends classes in Negros Occidental, cancels sea trips

Tropical Storm "Enteng" has prompted class suspensions in seven towns and five cities across Negros Occidental on Monday, September 2.

The local government units that suspended classes include the towns of E.B. Magalona, Don Salvador Benedicto, Pulupandan, Hinoba-an, Isabela, Murcia, and Valladolid.

The cities that suspended classes are San Carlos, Victorias, Talisay, Silay, and Bacolod.

In E.B. Magalona, face-to-face classes were suspended in favor of modular learning for all levels in both public and private schools.

San Carlos City suspended classes from elementary to secondary levels, while Talisay City cancelled classes from pre-school to Senior High School.

Bacolod City also suspended classes from elementary to senior high school in public and private institutions.

The Bacolod City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office is on blue alert and has activated its Emergency Operations Center and Disaster Online Reporting and Monitoring System.

A sea trip from Bacolod to Manila was also temporarily suspended due to storm warning signals at the destination.
