Cayetano denies plot to oust Senate President Sotto

However, Cayetano clarified that the minority bloc has not discussed specific plans or potential replacements for Senate President Vicente Sotto III, emphasizing that any discontent within the majority bloc is their own concern.

Cayetano tagged Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo "Ping" Lacson as the one behind the "counter-coup" claims suggesting a leadership change.

He questioned the credibility of such claims, referencing a viral YouTube video and a Facebook post from "OneTV Philippines" that falsely claimed he was poised to replace Sotto.

Previous statements from Senators Imee Marcos and Rodante Marcoleta also denied knowledge of any plot to oust Sotto.

Sotto and Senator Panfilo Lacson have debunked the false claims.
