Bulacan designates additional facilities for COVID-19 patients

The provincial government of Bulacan has designated additional facilities to accommodate patients with confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19.

A new building at the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) will serve as the provincial COVID-19 hospital, capable of holding 50 patients per floor.

The MAB Building, with a 54-bed capacity, will also function as an additional COVID-19 facility after its turnover from Ang Dating Daan and UNTV.

The College of Science and Psychology building of Bulacan State University-Main Campus is being prepared to house up to 100 patients, pending DOH approval.

The PGB Governance Center is already admitting COVID-19-related patients, with some already discharged after completing quarantine.

Several isolation units in various district hospitals across Bulacan, along with the BMC Emergency Quarantine Facility, are operational.

Governor Daniel Fernando assured residents that the provincial government is working to fast-track the improvement of these facilities and train healthcare workers.

As of April 18, Bulacan has reported 100 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 90 probable cases, and 325 suspected cases, with 4 recoveries and 22 deaths.
