BOC clears 4th batch of Moderna vax
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has cleared the fourth batch of 326,400 doses of US-made Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.
The vaccines arrived at NAIA Terminal 3 on August 8, 2021, from Switzerland via Singapore Airlines flight SQ912.
This shipment was facilitated through the COVAX facility, aimed at ensuring equitable vaccine distribution globally.
The BOC's One Stop Shop processed and cleared the vaccines after receiving necessary documents from the Department of Health (DOH) and Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).
With this latest delivery, the Philippines now has a total of 3.83 million Moderna vaccines.
An estimated 17 million more doses of Moderna vaccines are expected in the coming months through the tripartite supply agreement.
