BPCI strengthens PH's pageant powerhouse status

Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) has played a significant role in establishing the Philippines as a pageant powerhouse, helping produce at least 14 crowns and numerous other placements in international pageants since its inception in 1964.

Queens like Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, and Melanie Marquez have become household names, with many others who competed also winning the hearts of Filipino fans.

The organization has sustained a 10-year placement streak in Miss Universe from 2010 to 2019 and has produced all of the Philippines' Miss Universe winners, including Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray.

Binibining Pilipinas queens have consistently earned special awards, including a record seven Miss Photogenic awards in Miss Universe and multiple Best in National Costume wins in the former Miss Maja International pageant.

Beyond pageantry, BPCI also runs humanitarian missions with its candidates, partnering with organizations such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Philippine General Hospital Pediatric Cancer unit.
