PNP Bicol confiscates P2.9M illegal drugs in 10-day ops

Philippine National Police in Bicol confiscated PHP2.9 million worth of illegal drugs during a 10-day anti-criminality operation from June 17 to 27.

The operation involved 52 simultaneous anti-criminality law enforcement operations across the region.

Authorities seized 433.71 grams of shabu and 31.55 grams of marijuana, along with firearms, vehicles, and gadgets.

A total of 63 suspects were apprehended, and 62 cases have been filed against them.

The Police Regional Office 5 (Bicol) spokesperson, Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, reiterated the commitment to eradicate illegal drugs and bring offenders to justice.

PRO5 is also strengthening community relations through dialogues, information dissemination, and safety tips via social media to enhance public awareness and engagement.
