Ben Tulfo files Senate bid, brother Erwin also seeks Senate seat

Broadcaster Ben Tulfo officially filed his candidacy for the 2025 senatorial elections as an independent candidate.

His brother, ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo, also filed his candidacy for senator on October 6 as part of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas.

Both brothers dismissed accusations of establishing a political dynasty, stating they would let the people decide as long as there is no law against it.

If successful, they would join Senator Raffy Tulfo, creating three Tulfos in the Senate, though Raffy is not up for reelection until 2028.

Currently, three Tulfos are in the House of Representatives, including Erwin, Jocelyn (Erwin's wife), and Ralph (Erwin's nephew).

Erwin Tulfo stated that he would step down from the Senate should he accomplish nothing in the first half of his term, or within three years.

Ben Tulfo brings over three decades of media experience to his bid, recognized for his documentary-reality show BITAG.

The Tulfo brothers' direct approach in addressing grievances has garnered a significant following.
