Ateneo Blue Eagles end 5-game skid, beat UE Red Warriors 78-74

The Ateneo Blue Eagles snapped their five-game losing streak by defeating the University of the East Red Warriors, 78-74.

Divine Adili returned after missing three games and scored 10 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter, adding 13 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block.

Kymani Ladi also contributed 16 points and nine rebounds for the Blue Eagles, whose win-loss record improved to 5-5.

The Red Warriors, who held a 74-72 lead with 2:19 left in the fourth quarter, could not hold on after Ateneo's late rally.

Wello Lingolingo scored 19 points, Precious Momowei had 19 markers and 18 rebounds, and John Abate added 18 points before fouling out for UE.

This loss marks the 16th consecutive defeat for the UE Red Warriors, extending back to Season 87, and officially eliminates them from Final Four contention with a 0-10 record.

Despite the loss, Ateneo head coach Tab Baldwin credited UE's competitive effort and the performance of their top players, Precious Momowei, Wello Lingolingo, and John Abate.
