FEU Tamaraws edge Adamson Soaring Falcons in OT, end Falcons' streak

The Far Eastern University Tamaraws defeated the Adamson Soaring Falcons, 73-70, in overtime, ending Adamson's four-game winning streak.

FEU coach Sean Chambers noted his team's strong play for three quarters but admitted to immaturity in the fourth quarter, where they lost a significant lead.

Jorick Bautista led FEU in scoring with 12 points, while Rojan Montemayor added 11 points.

Kirby Mongcopa had 11 points and a game-high 17 rebounds, and Janrey Pasaol contributed 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists.

Adamson's Ray Allen Torres forced overtime with a game-high 24 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter and overtime.

Cedrick Manzano also scored to tie the game with 10 seconds left in regulation.

In overtime, Kirby Mongcopa made three crucial free throws in the final 18 seconds to secure the victory for the Tamaraws.

The win improved FEU's record to 4-6, keeping their Final Four hopes alive, and completed an elimination round sweep of Adamson.
