Army produces more PPEs for frontliners, communities
The Army's 10th Forward Service Support Unit (10FSSU) has been producing face shields and masks to equip front-liners in Northern Mindanao with personal protective equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of April 9, the 10FSSU had manufactured and distributed 3,070 face shields to various groups including Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs), the Oro Banker Association, police units, maritime agencies, and the Camp Evangelista Station Hospital.
They also distributed 200 face masks to troops manning quarantine checkpoints.
Further distribution of an additional 1,300 face shields is planned for health workers and security forces.
Soldiers are also working to produce another 1,500 shields for Army units and civilian health facilities within the 4th Infantry Division's area of responsibility, encompassing the Caraga region.
