AFP receives 2 emergency quarantine facilities

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received two emergency quarantine facilities (EQFs) at the V. Luna General Hospital in Quezon City.

The EQFs were designed by Architect William Ti Jr. and his team to provide additional space for patients needing quarantine, especially in hospitals at maximum capacity.

This initiative is part of a larger project aiming to build a total of 62 EQFs in and outside Metro Manila.

The construction of these facilities was funded by SM Foundation and Tayô, Táyo! Fundraiser.

The AFP also formally handed over a newly-constructed 15-bed air-conditioned EQF to the La Consolacion University General Hospital (LCUGH) in Plaridel, Bulacan.

The LCUGH is designed for hospitals and institutions that are at maximum capacity to provide proper facilities for patients who need to undergo quarantine.

As of April 23, the hospital has one probable case and one suspect case of Covid-19 and accepts patients with mild symptoms.
