AFP mobilizes for Odette disaster response

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has mobilized its units to conduct disaster response operations in areas devastated by Typhoon Odette.

These operations are being carried out in close coordination with the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

The AFP's responsibilities include emergency preemptive evacuations, search and rescue, clearing operations, and providing transport assistance for relief goods.

Units from regional commands down to the battalion level have been deployed to ensure extensive coverage of affected areas.

Air and naval assets are also on standby for deployment to support national and local disaster management councils and other response clusters.

Units not directly in the typhoon's path are also on standby to provide necessary support.

The AFP urges those who can provide assistance to help those affected by the typhoon.
