7 nabbed in Rizal anti-drug ops

Seven individuals were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Rizal province on Wednesday afternoon.

In Binangonan, Rizal, three suspects identified by aliases Popoy, Anthony, and Makmak were arrested, while a fourth suspect, alias Pat, escaped.

Authorities confiscated 2.74 grams of suspected shabu worth approximately P18,632, buy-bust money, an improvised firearm, bullets, a cellphone, a bag, and drug paraphernalia from the Binangonan operation.

In San Mateo, Rizal, three other suspects identified as alias Alvin, alias Edison, and alias Ejay were apprehended.

From the San Mateo operation, 0.7 grams of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, a .38 caliber revolver, bullets, buy-bust money, and cellphones were seized.

All six arrested suspects are temporarily detained at the custodial facilities of the Binangonan and San Mateo police stations and face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
