PRO-7 confiscates over P520M in drugs, arrests nearly 5,000

The Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) confiscated over P520 million worth of illegal drugs in the first half of 2025, leading to the arrest of almost 5,000 individuals involved in illegal drug activities.

A total of 4,101 anti-illegal drug operations were conducted by PRO-7 during this period, including the confiscation of shabu, marijuana, cocaine, and Ecstasy.

Among those arrested by PRO-7 were 238 high-value targets, 2,522 street-level individuals, and 1,973 newly identified drug personalities.

In separate operations, over P2 million worth of shabu was seized in Carcar City, Cebu, and another P612,000 stash was seized in San Pablo City, Laguna.

Meanwhile, Bulacan police arrested 12 individuals and confiscated nearly P630,000 worth of suspected shabu in a series of intensified anti-illegal drug operations.

In Pampanga, four high-value drug suspects were arrested in separate operations in the City of San Fernando and Porac town, yielding P788,000 worth of shabu.

All arrested suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165.

PRO-7 Director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan affirmed their commitment to continue the fight against illegal drugs.
