3 nabbed, P1.169M shabu seized in Rizal buy-bust

Combined operatives from the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested three individuals and seized PHP1.169 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Burgos, Rodriguez town, Rizal.

The suspects, identified by aliases "Didog" (47, driver, HVI), "Mentong" (44, driver), and "Joy" (32, nail technician), were apprehended after an undercover police purchased P1,000 worth of the illegal substance.

Authorities recovered approximately 172 grams of shabu, marked buy-bust money, additional cash, a weighing scale, and a caliber .22 pistol with two live bullets from "Didog."

The arrested individuals, who were under surveillance by the Drug Enforcement Team of RMPS, were subjected to drug testing and the confiscated evidence will undergo forensic examination.

Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, director of PRO 4-A, stated that the operation reflects their "dedication and resolve to ensure the safety of our communities" and called for continued public cooperation.
