66 residents return to Negros Occidental, undergo quarantine and testing

Sixty-six residents of Negros Occidental, comprised of construction workers, a family, and others from Cebu and Panay, returned to their home province.

They were assisted by the provincial government and brought to designated 'healing centers' for a mandatory 14-day quarantine.

Those from Panay are quarantined at Mambukal Resort in Murcia town, while the group from Cebu are staying at a patient care center in E.B. Magalona town.

Health personnel conducted interviews and rapid tests for COVID-19 on all individuals.

Previously, 35 Negrense OFWs also returned to Escalante City from Cebu.

Of the 35 OFWs, 15 were from Bacolod City and 20 from other areas in the province.

Initially, 34 of the OFWs tested non-reactive to the virus in rapid tests, while one tested reactive, with results to be forwarded to Iloilo City for confirmation.
