55 BGHMC health workers test positive for COVID-19

Fifty-five health workers at Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) have tested positive for COVID-19, with the number expected to rise as over 400 more health workers await test results.

Dr. Glory Baltazar, chief of BGHMC, stated that the increase in confirmed cases among health workers was sudden and due to simultaneous release of test results.

Hospital workers who reported for duty from April 1 to the present have been tested, with more than 700 undergoing examination.

Bataan currently has 81 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 15 recoveries and four deaths.

Nationwide, the Philippines has recorded 6,710 confirmed cases, 693 recoveries, and 446 fatalities.
