3 weather systems to bring rains across PH

Three weather systems, namely the shear line, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), and the northeast monsoon (amihan), are expected to affect the Philippines, bringing various weather conditions across the country.

Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and parts of Mimaropa and Bicol Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Visayas, the rest of Mimaropa, the rest of Bicol Region, and several provinces in Mindanao.

The northeast monsoon will cause cloudy skies with rains in Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region, while the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

PAGASA warns of potential flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains, especially in Cagayan and Isabela, which are forecast to have heavy to intense rainfall.

Coastal waters in Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon will be rough to very rough due to strong to gale force winds.

The rest of Luzon and the eastern Visayas can expect moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas.
