2 OFWs in Bacolod, Negros Occidental test positive for COVID-19

Two returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental have tested positive for COVID-19.

One is a 43-year-old male seafarer from England, who is asymptomatic and has hypertension, and is currently quarantined in a facility in Bacolod.

He traveled from England on April 22, arrived in Manila the next day, and after several quarantine periods and tests with negative results, arrived in Bacolod on May 20.

His swab test results, taken on May 26, came back positive on June 4.

The other is a 31-year-old female OFW from Murcia town, the 11th COVID-19 positive patient in the province, who traveled from Hong Kong and arrived in Manila on March 28.

Although she tested negative in Manila, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson stated it's possible she contracted the virus along the way.

She is asymptomatic and currently quarantined at a healing center in E.B. Magalona town.
