2 LPAs, ITCZ to bring scattered rains across PH

Two low pressure areas (LPAs) embedded in the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) are expected to bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over most parts of the Philippines.

One LPA was located 335 kilometers east-southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, and has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.

The second LPA was located 1,500 km east of Mindanao, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), but is expected to enter by Wednesday, increasing its chances of development.

Another LPA may develop over the Sulu Sea.

The shear line and the northeast monsoon will also bring rains to Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas, while other areas will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
