Razon takes over Manila Water leadership

Ports tycoon Enrique Razon has officially taken over leadership of Manila Water Company, Inc., replacing the Ayala Group.

Razon now holds positions as director, chair of the Board of Directors, president, CEO, and member of the Executive Committee.

The change became effective on June 3, with Fernando Zobel de Ayala stepping down from his roles as chairman of both the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala also stepped down as vice chair and director, while other officials such as Jose Rene Almendras, Antonio Aquino, Gerardo Albaza Jr., John Eric Francia, Virgilio Rivera, and Solomon Hermosura are no longer part of the company’s management.

Abelardo Basilio remains chief operating officer for the East Zone concession area, and Sherisa Nuesa continues as a board member.
