Zamboanga Valientes win 3rd Gov. Ann K. Hofer title after 22 years

The Zamboanga Valientes defeated the Letran Knights 91-81 to win the finals of the 3rd Gov. Ann K. Hofer Invitational Basketball Tournament on Friday.

Led by import Samuel Deguara with 24 points, former PBA players Vic Manuel and Kyt Jimenez contributed 18 and 14 points respectively, securing Zamboanga's first title in the tournament after 22 years of participation.

Local standout Job Alcantara and Reed Juntilla made clutch baskets to give Zamboanga a significant lead early in the final quarter.

Vic Manuel and Kyt Jimenez sealed the victory with crucial plays late in the game, ensuring that Letran could not recover their deficit.

Team owner Junnie Navarro's dedication played a key role in this historic achievement, reflecting the perseverance and heart of the Zamboanga Valientes.
