Zamboanga hospital expands wards for rising COVID cases

Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) opened additional wards to accommodate a surge in COVID-19 patients, bringing the total number admitted to 62 within three days.

Of these, five are confirmed cases, 47 probable, and ten suspected. The hospital can currently handle up to 100 patients but will need more space if numbers exceed this.

The city government donated PHP3 million to support ZCMC's operations during the pandemic, with the outpatient department converted into a COVID-19 referral center since April 6.
