Two Central Luzon governors test positive for COVID-19

Two governors from Central Luzon, Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. of Zambales and Aurelio Umali of Nueva Ecija, have tested positive for COVID-19.

Both governors confirmed their infections via social media on Monday, March 22.

Ebdane was found to be infected after a rapid antigen test followed by an RT-PCR confirmation on Sunday, while Umali's infection was also confirmed through similar testing procedures.

Despite following health protocols strictly, Ebdane acknowledged that his work nature exposes him to the virus.

The Zambales governor provided details of his recent activities and contacts for contact tracing purposes.
