Roque tests positive for COVID-19, declines to show RT-PCR results

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque announced on Monday that he tested positive for COVID-19.

Roque said he learned of his positive result when he was already at his office in Malacañang and maintained that other personnel were not exposed since he was alone in his office.

He also reported being asymptomatic and confirmed the positive result with an antigen test on Monday.

Roque shared a stage with President Duterte a few days before testing positive, but claimed he was never in close contact with him.

On Tuesday, Roque declined to show his RT-PCR test confirming his positive result when asked by GMA News reporter Joseph Morong.

The Palace official is currently in an Oplan Kalinga quarantine facility where he conducted a regular media briefing on Tuesday.
